Fellow Crafty Geeks: Emizart

One of the great things about doing conventions as a vendor are all of the other fun, creative people that are right there beside you. At Madicon this year, our neighbor was Emily, creator of absolutely adorable polymer clay dragons. It was her first convention, and from where I was sitting it definitely looks like she is off to a great start!

At conventions, I like to try and find artists who will do commissions to get unique representations of some of the characters I have played over the years. Between Mark and I, we have quite a collection of drawings at this point. But this time, for a change of pace, I went with a sculpture.

Please, admire her scales. This proud young dragon knows she is beautiful.

One of my characters has a dragon foster daughter, and I love what Emily did with the description. She’s so cute!

Nathaniel gave a custom dragon a new home as well.

Yes, I was the model for the Welsh flag. Obviously.

Emily sells her dragons on Etsy as Emizart. They’re bundled nicely for shipment and come with an adoption card with their name and a cute bit about them. Some pose with dice for all you fellow gamers out there. So go give another baby dragon a good home!
